I am trying to develop an iOS Application which allows to share images/videos to whatsapp directly. Can I do this without using UIActivityViewController or UIDocumentInteractionController?

There’s no iOS API for this. If such a thing were possible, it would have to be explicitly supported by the WhatsApp folks. Many social networks ship an SDK that let’s apps integrate with their service; I’ve no idea whether that’s the case here.
