Hi guys,
I'm having an issue where some mp4 videos (either local or by url) display a black image and only play the sound on iOS 11. On iOS 12 it simply does not let me play the video (the play button has a dash over it). On the simulator (for both oses) it plays okay..
After much digging I managed to understand that the ones that don't play correctly are the ones that have an interlaced scan type. The progressive ones are okay. (I made some back and forth video encoding, from the ones that worked okay and the ones that don't and this confirmed my theory).
Having said that:
- Any idea of why this is happening?
- Can I, somehow, configure AVPlayer in order to correctly play these files?
