How to set volume for video element separtely on ios safari

I have mutliple sources of audio on a page. One is coming from a video element which is playing video. I want the user to be able to lower the video volume while keeping the other audio elements at the level set by the volume buttons.

Is there a way to do this? I see the documentation that says that you cannot set the volume of the video element. But this is really a pain for our scenario. Is there an alternative?
