Anyone seeing battery drain on watch (OS2B4) with any watchface other than TimeLapse? I can understand the complication heavy watchface using excessive power during beta but if I set the photo background watch face I don't get more than 5hrs usage - Time lapse is perfect and battery lasts longer than OS1.0.1
OS2 B4 Watchface battery drain
I am not seeing that. My battery drains 3-4 times a day. Each beta doesn't help much. OS1 lasted all day. I can't even test my apps because the watch is dead so often.
Also it reboots a lot!
With B4 it seems the watch brightness is messed up and tends to display brightest much of the time. I believe this is part of the battery drain for B4.
While using the timelapse watch face, and with my watch docked to the charger and on its side by my bed, I noticed by watch kept switching from nightstand mode to an occasional run through Mack Lake's 24 hours of scenery. I fell asleep before I could put much thought into it. Then I woke up with less charge than when I'd attached it to the charger last night. I dropped from 33% to 18%. Got myself charged to 85% in the car on the way to work only to drop into powersave mode three hours later. This has happened a couple times now, once on B3 and once on B4.
Mine is fine when on something like Modular. I do see the issues with brightness being out of whack, and the raise wrist to activate seems a lot more touchy than on 1.0.1. However, using the Photos watchface, I drained through my battery in just a few hours, so definitely an issue there.
Seems to be a bit dependant on device. I can't use any modular watchfaces without watch going black and having to force reboot.
My "photo-album" watchface runs for 18+ hours during a normal workday.
I found that the XL face is the most reliable so far. I get all day battery life with no freezes or reboots.
