WatchOS2 beta 4 powers off every few hours

I have to restart my watch every few hours after watchOS2 beta 4 update.

Battery drain has not been fixed yet. Hardly get 6-8 hrs on full charge.

Also when the watch is restarted it doesn't pair with iPhone automatically.

I have to turn off & turn on bluetooth on iPhone to pair the watch.

Watch is totally unusable

I noticed this as well. Only started doing it for me this evening.

I have had the same issue as well. Funny thing is when i went to reset apple watch and then restored it, i was able to restore it to the beta 3 version which seems to have LESS bugs than the beta 4. I would recommend doing that. When watch asks you would you like to set up as new or from back up, ensure that you select backup that was before 21st july, hence beta 3.

+1, very intermittently it shuts down and I need to do a force 'reboot'

I'm having the same issue, the first occurrance happened yesterday and required a force reboot. Afterwards the watch wouldn't reconnect to the iPhone over bluetooth. I then restarted the iPhone and it reconnected. The same thing has just happened now - about 1h after taking the watch off the charger. The watch was totally unresponsive and required another force reboot.

Are you using Simple Watchface? If yes, change it to modular and leave it for the day to see if this fixes your issue.

I just erased all settings and data on my watch, re-paired with my phone and selected a backup from 7/10/15. Unfortunately, the watch is still on B4.

Does anyone know how to resort back to B3?

I use the modular watchface and it becomes completely unresponsive at least once a day requiring the force reboot. Battery drain has also increased from beta 3.

Similar symptoms to others. Goes totally unresponsive or turns off about once a day (in the afternoon always, I think), requiring a reset by holding both buttons. Then it loses connection. However, the way to resolve that seems to be to turn off Bluetooth on the phone for a few seconds and back on again.

Changing to modular face actually helped. No intermittent shutdown on modular face in the last 8 hrs. Also the battery seems to be much much better on modular face.

+1 for this issue, I am using the modular face and it has required force reboot about 4 times today. I think beta 3 was better. When are these beta's going to start improving.

Thanks. i am switching to modular and giving it a go. I was trying to figure out if it was a 'freeze' or 'turns off' and came here looking for ideas.

I changed to the modular face too and my watch stops to reboot for one whole day.

The battery life has improved too.

Feels like it's panicking. Happened last night, I assumed it was out of power. But then it happened at 11 a.m. this morning, and it had 33% battery when I brought it back up. No low power notification, just the black screen and random times.

Carrying a USB adapter and Watch cable now 😢
