Safari Audio does not work for Zoom calls

Hello Safari Team,

Currently Safari audio does not work for Zoom calls. When wil Safari start to support Audio Worklet API? This API is already supported by Chrome, Edge, Opera, and now Firefox[1][2]. Alot of developers are starting to use tools that use Web Assembly such as Zooms Web SDK[3]. However after looking at Zoom's developer forum, there is a growing number of concerns that Safari on iOS devices is not usable for Zoom calls[4][5][6][7] since Safari does not support Audioworklet thus users are cannot hear through the device.

As Apple seems like the only major browser that does not support Zoom calls. Are there any plans to adopt the AudioWorklet API in the near future?

During the COVID pandemic, with everyone using Zoom to do everything, for use of browser-based Zoom meetings we are seeing almost all of our Mac users switch from Safari (which does not support the Audio Worklet API) to Chrome (which does support the Audio Worklet API). If Safari would support this API for both Mac and iOS, it would drive great adoption on iOS and on the Mac would prevent further migration from Safari to Chrome.

AudioWorklet API has now appeared in the Safari Technology preview. Hopefully not long now until release. https://developer.apple.com/safari/technology-preview/release-notes/

Hi,
I've just tested Safari Technology Preview (123) with Zoom. More specifically I was able to join a Zoom video call via Safari Technology Preview on my Mac (Big Sur 11.2.3), and it worked fine (video and audio).
So, I suppose that the oncoming MacOS 11.3 should be able to allow Zoom calls via Safari (without the Zoom Desktop app).

Although I have positively tested the Desktop Safari (Technology Preview - 123) to join a Zoom video, I have been unable to do the same with the mobile Safari on iPadOS 14.5 RC (Release Candidate). I wonder whether that new mobile Safari may NOT be supporting the Web Audio Kit, which is required for Zoom to function properly through Safari and without having to use the Zoom mobile app.
Any ideas?
