Quartz Composer 4.6.1 is not working on OS X El Capitan Dev Preview

Hey, is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does someone know a fix/ workaround? If I open QC, I get the following error:

An exception was raised:

*** -[__NSPlaceholderArray initWithObjects:count:]: attempt to insert nil object from objects[0]

I've got the same problem with you.

Does it work if you open Quartz Composer first, possibly holding down the shift key to ensure no compositions are automatically loaded?

Same problem here on OSX 10.11.1

Yep, having the same problem with QC on OSX 10.11.1.

@Troy, this doesn't seem to help.

Anyone find another fix for this yet?

Remove Backdrops.plugin from /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches

Worked for me.

my quartz composer seemed to trip up with the gimp plug-in so inspired by you I eliminated that. at least QC is staying open. thanks
