I would like to add Watch support to my app and if I understand correctly...


iOS 8 only supports watchOS 1 and iOS 9 supports both watchOS 1 and 2.

Furthermore, watchOS 1 app won't run on watchOS 2 device and vise versa.


Is this correct?

No, watchOS 1 apps work just fine on watchOS 2. watchOS 2 apps will not run on watchOS 1, though.
