I see that there the EventKit framwork exists in watchOS 2 b5. There are methods for creating EKCalendarItems, but none for saving them, nor deleting them. Is this coming in a future seed? If not, what is a pracitcal application of creating an EKCalendarItem that cannot be saved?
EventKit seems incomplete
I'm facing the same problem and would love to have support for saving and deleting calendar items on the Watch. The only workaround is to use WatchConnectivity and let the phone save/delete the calendar item, but that comes with its own problems.
