Hi,

I am developing Acrobat XI Pro plugin for MAC 10.7.5 using XCode 4.5.2 with base SDK OSX 10.8. I have used SecSignTransformCreate, SecTransformSetAttribute and SecTransformExecute calls for signing SHA1 with PKCS7 padding using certificate private key. When we verify the signature, the Certificate verification fails and throws an error "Error during signature verification. ASN.1 parsing error:Error encountered while BER decoding:". Previously i had developed Acrobat plugin for windows and i had implemented TimeStamp during the SHA1 hash generation. Is it necessary to implement the TimeStamp during the SHA1 hash generation, if YES then let me know how to implement the TimeStamp and integrate during the hash generation?. Please let me know if i am doing any thing wrong?

First up, I moved this thread to Core OS > Security.

Second, this is a complex problem and I very much doubt you’ll find an answer here on DevForums. I recommend that you open a DTS tech support incident so I, or one of my colleagues, can investigate the issue in detail.
