Hello everyone!

I am developing a case that may conflicts with APPLE patent of iPod design. I have written to many resources, including APPLE legal, APPLE MFi and some specialists in social network named linkedin, however didn't get any anwser yet.

May be you could help me, so my question is the following:

if I make prototype of that case which will use click - wheel mechanism to navigate music and put it at some crowdfunding platforms, will it conflicts with APPLE patents of design and mechanism of work of iPod classic or has any other possible problems with APPLE policy of accessories?

So you're basically wanting to create and sell a knockoff of the iPod classic? Yeah, they're not going to like that…

Current/legacy vendors have had the case market tied up for quite some time, so you may have an uphill battle, even if they agree to talk to you.

As for conflicts, you really don't want Apple legal knocking on your door - asking here is like sticking your head in a cannon, I think.

However, there is application in APP Store named Twitunes which fully replicates iPod. If APPLE allow it to be in APP Store, may be it is not a serious problem if we are talking about anything but not a separate electronic device?

Thank you. I have mentioned above App named Twitunes which replicates iPod functions and is avaliable at App Store.
