Hello,

We face an error with ATS 5.1 which didnt happen with ATS 5.0.

Please find the steps followed.

Test Procedure:

Select ATS Accessory certification Assistant
Connector is selected as Lightning & current level is 2.1A
After selecting the iAP2 features, It asks for the accessory to connect to the ATS.
After connecting the accessory, automatic test is run for Accessory only.
In this case, ATS shows an error stating "Accessory did not send StartPowersource, powersource updates to the device"

Analysis details:

If the current level is None instead of 2.1A , then this error is not happened.
In software, the authentication & accessory information is sent only after the iOS device is connected to the Accessory.
In the above case (Accessory only ), since the device not connected, there are no packets sent from Accessory to device regarding the powersource updates.

As per the MFI specification, if the accessory provides power to the device connected, it should send startpower source and Powersource update.

This is handled in the software.

This issue happened after the tool got updated to 5.0 and its throwing error even before the device is connected. We feel there is wrong sequence followed in the latest tool version. Can you please advice.

We are having this exact same issue in our project. Has anyone found any further information on how to resolve this? We are in fact sending the required messages, but the Apple device must be connected first.

We found the same issue, we can not send any message before the device connected.

We have to selected "None current level " to pass ATS.

Has anyone found the way to resolve it ?
