Is it expected that [CSSearchableIndex isIndexingAvailable] will return FALSE on an iPod Touch 5th Gen running 9.0 beta 5?

BTW CSSearchableIndex:isIndexingAvailable appears to be undocumented right now. Also, is it documented anywhere which devices are unsupported?
