As mentioned, you cannot recover the project unless you have some version of it on a disk (USB, website, hard drive). However, that shouldn't discourage you. Based on the time specified, the project likely requires a rebuild with the new standards available. In building apps, I find myself frequently starting over (or at least re-thinking my approach). I think that is a healthy attitude to adopt since Apple APIs change drastically each year. For the future, you might consider synching your project with bitbucket.org (allows private repositories) and run Time Machine on a separate USB/Thunderbolt drive.
