Apple TV Remote + Simulator

I'm looking into building some games with the Apple TV remote and I was wondering if the remote is accessible from the simulator when hooked up to a computer? Or even better yet if theres any trick to make the remote show up as a gamepad device when hooked up to the computer. I want to do some innovative controls stuff, but the path of compile->deploy->test is a pretty long one to mess around with controls, especially if you factor in cross-compile from unity 😐

Is there any trick to make this work now? or is it in the roadmap for the future?

Thanks so much!

Just came here to ask the same question! (ps hi zach)

If the Siri Remote uses bluetooth, I imagine there's some secret combination of buttons you can press to put it into a pairing mode? Another option would be if there were a way to pair it by plugging in the lightning cable (though I guess that is set up to only transfer power, not data). Having to test games by either building to the device or using the remote-simulator seems crazy.

would love to see this added, too, if it's not supported. it would make the testing/prototyping cycle much faster.

By the way, you can make the remote available for pairing by holding the menu and volume-up buttons at the same time for ~5 seconds. I haven't been able to do much with this yet, but at least it's a start.
