tvOS volume control on HDMI monitor

Hello,

I have new apple tv connected to a HDMI monitor that does not have its own remote that allow volume control. Is it possible to change the volume with siri remote somehow? I only saw that there is an option to learn a new remote but my monitor does not have a remote and I did not see any separate system volume setting in tvOS settings or anything similar. So I guess that it is not possible to change global tvOS volume in my case, right?

Have you installed the 2nd tvOS release yet?

Edit: installed #3?

I don't think you need the monitors remote to train the Siri remote for that. I set mine up

in the Apple TV itself and it worked. Is your monitor using the HDMI-CEC(ARC) connection

or just a normal HDMI connection? If it's an CEC(ARC) connection, you may have to turn

on device discovery in your monitor.

I have a similiar issue - my 4th generation apple TV is hooked up via HDMI to a computer monitor that has internal speakers but no remote control functionality. I am new to tvOS, does it have volume control via the software or has it always been done via the connected hardware (TV or home theater system)?
