Impossible to update to tvOS beta 2

Hello developers,

When I try to update my Apple TV Developer Kit to tvOS beta 2, the update downloads and I get a message saying that "The update has finished downloading. Do you want to install it now?". But when I press on "Update Now", I receive an error message saying "The update was not successful", with an indication that my network connection failed. The Apple TV then suggests to manually restart my Apple TV, which doesn't solve the issue.

Also, when I try to press "Restore" directly from the Apple TV settings, I get a similar error message that says "Apple TV can't download the latest update right now. Try again later."

Needless to say that my Internet connection is working perfectly fine. I tried with another Wi-Fi network, as well as via Ethernet and the problem stays the same.

Furthermore, my Apple TV is not detected by my Mac when I connect it via USB anymore, so I can't even restore it from iTunes.

I am really stuck here. Anyone experienced the same problem?

I've seen the same error message/behavior for the software update, but I believe it did work since the TestFlight app showed up after I restarted. I haven't seen any problem with USB.

This may be a dumb question, but have you tried unplugging, and plugging back in to see if that might help reset things?

UPDATE: I was wrong about this. As others have suggested below, you should download the beta from apple's website and install that one rather than relying on the automatic update. Although TestFlight did show up for me, it would not work properly until after I installed the beta using the USB-C cable.

What worked for me was to repeat the same procedure for the first tvOS.

eithernet fixed it for me. I shared my wifi over the enthernet port on my MBP with internet sharing. Make sure your TV settings are using ethernet before trying the update

Just follow the instructions provided on the download page. Restore it from iTunes and if iTunes doesn't recognize your AppleTV, simply reboot it in recovery mode.

And in particular for recovery mode:

NOTE: If iTunes does not recognize Apple TV, place it in recovery mode. To place your Apple TV in recovery mode:

Ensure the Apple TV is connected to your Mac.
Using the included remote, press and hold MENU + Play/Pause for 6 seconds until the indicator light begins flashing rapidly.
Proceed with step 4 to restore the Apple TV.
