I'm looking for the best place to learn SpriteKit. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!
Best place to learn SpriteKit?
Can you describe your current skills, understandings, experiences, passions and interests?
All will assist in pointing to the best place for YOU to learn Sprite Kit.
That would be true if there were enough options to make choice possible. Are there?
From what I've seen, learning Sprite Kit directly might not be the best option, because the information that will teach you more about it is "for" more widely-used tools.
i found http://www.raywenderlich.com/ a good place to start. also their book for ios game is not bad for an introductory level.
The Ray Wenderlich site is a great starting point. Lots of tutorials to get you started quickly, whether you are a seasoned programmer or not and whether you are new to Apple development or not.
visit the irc channel i p h o n e d e v there are only a few spriteKit people there, it would be nice to build the collaborative nexus a bit.
Well of course there are only a few people on an IRC channel! 😝 Move to Slack!
ill have to give that a go
Hi Hitekksteff,
The Apple developer documentation has a page on starting out with SpriteKit.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Some of the tutorials are getting a bit old now, but you will end up with working SpriteKit games in Swift12
Wenderlich has a nice book as well, ios games by tutorials (amazon.com)
If your are into reading ..
