Cannot upload tvOS app to App Store

I'm using XCode 7.1 beta 3 and attempting to "Upload to App Store...". Whenever I try, I get this message after a minute or two:

Same thing happens if I chose the "Validate..." option.

If it helps, about one second before the error above appears, XCode starts this stage of the upload process:

My app builds and executes fine on the Apple TV and I'm able to upload iOS binaries. Anyone know what could be causing this problem with tvOS binaries? I'm not sure what it's complaining about.

TvOS apps are not accepted for the app store yet. TestFlight builds are.

Arg. My images didn't upload. Trying again....

Just before the error:

The error:

Please forgive my ignorance. What do I do diffferently to upload for TestFlight?

Ok. Giving up on images.

Text of the error:

Archive upload failed due to the issues listed below.

iTunes Store operation failed.

You are not authorized to use this service.

Just before the error, it was on this stage:

Submitting archive to the Apple TV App Store:

Uploading Archive

Sent API usage to iTunes Connect, waiting for response...

I found a workaround:

Use XCode's Organizer to "Export..." the tvOS Archive file.

Then use Application Loader to deliver the app to the store.

The binary now shows up on itunesconnect! That's much further than I was getting before.

Go in and mark it as a testflight build and apple wont review it its just downloaded via your testflight app on your Apple TV

It should still upload from the uploader just dont try and submit it from itunes connect yet just turn internal testing on under testflight

Interesting, mine uploaded without any errors with beta 3.

I've uploaded a binary, it shows up on iTunesConnect, but I cannot mark it for test:

The binary is in state 'Processing' since yesterday.

Does anyone know what's up with that?

Thanks.

I am getting this issue intermittently. I assumed I was doing something wrong or that something had expired so I spent a lot of time rebooting, reinstalling, reissuing and re downloading but nothing fixed it. Then it just started working and I was able to upload apps.

Then it stopped working and the upload failed.

Then I tried it again and it worked.

It seems to be working more consistently now so I wonder whether it is just something to do with how busy the server back end is.

If I export an archive, and use the Application Loader tool, I get this error:

INFO ITMS-90111: "Invalid Toolchain. New apps and app updates must be built with the public (GM) versions of Xcode 6 or later, and Apple TV OS 8 SDK or later. Don't submit apps built with beta software."

This is with: Application Loader Version 3.3 (867)

which gets launched via Xcode, Open Developer Tool, Application Loader.

Don't fight it - wait for approved release tools, later. If not tomorrow, then next week is my wild guess.

Well... it is more than just App Store submissions, and releases....

This is about uploading builds to iTunes Connect, which is an essential part of making an (internal) TestFlight build.

This worked just fine for me before.

I've uploaded a testflight build with beta3 xcode, and installed from testflight on a beta3 device.

So it's not like it is impossible. TestFlight builds were working with beta Xcode.

My current assessment is that it is impossible on El Capitan, but not on Yosemite, for some strange reason.

Seems that way, lately - more than usual, sadly.

I can't get my tvOS app's app icon to show up in iTunes Connect.... anybody else?
