I am banging my head against the wall at business trying to implement a .net solution. In those events I usually have an Apple alternative to suggest as an improvement, or at least to long for an happier time. Yet for what regards web applications Apple all but lacks any option.
Alternative to .net
What are you trying to accomplish, exactly?
Whatever web service that is currently done with .NET, or at a lower, but safer level, through php or jQuery or a mixture thereof. I would imagine programming it by using swift, constraints and storyboards and all the beautiful features allowing for a fast and easy development, click publish and have a Mac Server deliver the service on the web. In practice to iPhone, iPad, AppleWatch, TvOs, I think it would not be so bad to add AppleWeb. After all the last incursion by Apple on the web was with iWeb in the 90's, I think, And that was not exactly a success. That would allow to uproot MS and set more reliable Apple Servers in the web centers to deliver web service instead of the buggy windows machines. An example I am woking at is being done by using .NET, jQuery and html and each time a problem arises, finding it, is really a nightmare, as you would imagine.
