Me too, I checked itunes - has been "in review" since Thursday. Not a complicated app.
our other game SlotZ Racer 2 has been approved now on the same day it was rejected, resubmitted and went back into review. The app reviewers are doing a really good job of getting through all the apps pre-launch.
Const: Like you, I found that my app submission was marked 'ready for sale' with the green dot in itunes connect without ever having received an email informing me of the fact (in spite of the fact that I did receive an email when it transitioned to 'in review' state). It sounds like a lot of people are in that situation. Of course, I would feel just a tad better if I had both the itunes connect message AND the email indicating 'ready for sale'.
Did you receive an email saying 'ready for sale' or did you just see it on itunes connect?
I never received an email saying 'ready for sale', but the itunes connect shows 'ready for sale' with the green dot.
I think other people are in the same situation but I'm curious if anyone has gotten both the green dot in itunes connect AND the confirmation email.
Got through to ready for sale, had to submit twice to fix not minimizing app with menu button in main menu.
Same here.
I submitted my App, 30 mins after the email came that said "You can now submit your Apps" and it's still not approved and I already have an iphone and ipad version in the store. 😟
Submitted a casual game ("Eye Hate You") at aroudn 3AM last Thursday (22 October). Its status changed to "In Review" within an hour, but was ultimately rejected 36 hours later. (I was mis-using the MENU button.)
I restructured the game as needed, and re-submitted it this morning (29 October). Its status changed to "Ready for Sale" a few hours later! 🙂
We're pretty disappointed. Not too many people got their tvOS apps submitted before ours (Oct 21, 2015 at 11:33 PM), and about 30 minutes later it went into review (Oct 22, 2015 at 12:01 AM). It's not a complicated app at all.
We can see lots and lots of apps on the App Store, and in the forums here and on Twitter, we have heard of many developers going through several iterations of rejections and resubmissions. We have heard nothing for since October 22nd at 12:01 AM. We worked really hard to have an app ready for launch day. It's disheartening that so many others were able to make it, even though we were one of the first developers to submit.
Is there anyone we can talk to to make sure that our app didn't end up lost somewhere?
App: Scenic Loops

Good luck BJamUT. It is certainly frustrating to be stuck In Review when so many apps seem to have sailed through (expecially those that are blatantly violating rules like store-screenshot frames, etc). Still, there are many hours to go before the App Store hits customers, so I'm hoping the reviewers are burning the midnight oil. Apple certainly has a lot more at stake than we do, and I really hope more apps go live before consumers get their hardware tomorrow.
We are in the exact same situation. We started coding as soon as tvOS SDK was out, and was one of the first ones to submit an app. It went into review almost immediately and has not changed state since then. This app has been thoroughly device tested too. No problems with menu button functions, pause/play.
You are not alone.
I wish there was another way to contact the review team. We have sent two inquiries via email but we haven't received an update.
I suggest you at least attempt to contact them via email.
Congratulations to everyone who passed review and best of luck to the rest of us!
I feel for you guys! Ours just came through a few minutes ago. I hope yours comes through soon as well!
Did you check to see if it's 'Featured'? Can you find it via search?
So after an email and a week of in review, the App got rejected for wrong use of the menu button. I still don't understand.
The home button goes back to the Apple TV menu and when I press the menu button I bring up a menu, if the press the menu button again it exits to the previous screen, not sure what the problem is with that.
The problem is that the Menu button should have been labeled "Back" (and Play/Pause labeled "Menu"). But they are what they are. The Menu button is mostly a Back button.
