Apps In Review for Days

What is the reasons for those apps stuck in review for days and I mean 4+ is it because Apple are choosing certain Apps to publish for launch

so as to get the best possible main stream media reviews ?

Nobody can really say. On the iPhone side, I've had some app reviews take two hours and some take 25 days, with no correlation to the complexity of the update. Good luck on your review though, I'm in the same boat!

Oh ive always had my ios apps literally pass review in less than 4 hours, in fact the ios version of one of my tvos apps passed in less than 1 hour lol

We may be the longest "in review", 8+ Days.

Perhaps it depends on the app category?

After a record 8+ days "in review" for a tvOS app, we are "ready for sale" as of 4 hours ago!

No notification or email received.

Be patient, your turn will come.

We have been also in review for 9 days now, since October 22nd. Very frustrating to work so hard to get app ready in time and then Apple doesn't let it to store. The same app on iOS passes reviews quickly without any issues.

Keep checking ITC for approval. We never got emails or notifications of status change.

You can also email the review team asking for a status.

So I have Apps submitted in the lifestyle and heal catogories and have been sitting in review for days

So I submit game and guess what, it goes into review and gets processed within 2 hours ??

How can I contact them? Directly via e-mail? Contact us-link at bottom of page on iTunes Connect is not helpful at all. Sure I keep check ITC all the time and it always says in review.

My 9 days and counting in review app is in entertainment category.

I too am in the same boat. I've had a tvOS app in review since 4:00 AM Tuesday morning. It definitely sounds like they are really curating apps for the launch. What is really weird is in the past Apple has wanted as many apps for launch as possible, I wonder what changed.

Maybe they didn't get the exact response from devs they'd hoped for this time.

I think they prioritize according to category. Mine was in the Lifestyle category. Games seem to be flying by. Our next app is a game. We will see what happens.

You can contact the review team via iTunes connect. Click on "contact" at the bottom of the page, answer a few questions and you will be able to write some text. Don't worry, they will definitely process your app.

Just out of curiosity, is it a video content app, or something code based with no outside video files?

I wonder if they are viewing all content to see if it's really family friendly, etc, based on what rating and

description you gave it.

One would think that they would.

Their desire to not offend users may be much greater than your desire to entertain.

They are very serious about content types that dont surprise or offend. Their main demographic for many of their products is

likely around 13 years of age. If that.

It is basically a remote desktop application to control PC computer. So using PC web browser users can for example have unlimited web access, something that Apple very much dislikes.

I'll remove the app from review tomorrow and will resubmit it as Dayjur did. Fingers crossed it will pass the review smoothly this time.
