Apple TV Screensaver pops up while testing my app

I love the new "Aerial" screen saver. I find myself just watching it and daydreaming sometimes when I should be coding. But the thing keeps popping up while I'm testing out my running app. It is set to go on after 5 min. And I'm sure if someone was actually playing my game they'd be using the siri remote and it wouldn't happen. But sometimes I'll hit "run" in xcode and the app will pop up and then immediately the screen saver will. Shouldn't it wait 5 min after the app launches before coming up? Again, I guss if I had launced the app with the remote it would be 5 min from then, but since I'm launching it from Xcode Aerial doesn't know that an activity happened. You would think that the Aerial app would see a notification that something launched. Right?

So it makes me think, what if my app were playing a 3 min cinematic video clip and someone had thier screen saver set to 2 min. Would it pop up in the middle of that if no one touched the remote?

Is there any way to send a notification that something is happening in my app to let the screen saver know to wait until it's done before starting it's clock?

Anyone have any issues with the screen saver? Thanks.

I'm marking it as correct since the other answer looks correct.

By the way I did search here for an answer before posting the question. To me the forum is harder to use now. When you search it seems to search everything, not just the thread you're in. I thought I searched for "screensaver" and got no results, and "screen saver" and got no results. Maybe something else was up since I'm now able to find that other message.

I just happened to see the second suggested link at the bottom of this page, which seemed to be the correct answer. Lol. All's well that ends well though. 🙂
