In the Proximity Beacon Specification document, Company ID Note says "Must not be used for any purposes not specified by Apple" Can anybody explain what purposes Apple specifies for this case? Is it possible to use the suggested ID 0x4C for a device which is not a proximity beacon per definition but advertises the iBeacon packet under certain operating conditions? Is it correct , that if we do not used the ID 0x4C, that iOS does not "see" this device ( as beacon) ?
