It seems that the AppleTV IR codes conflict with those of a Verizon FiOS DVR - for example the Verizon FiOS menu button turns on the AppleTV, which then starts listening for and responding to other random IR codes from the FiOS remote. We've now had the AppleTV make two purchases without approval because of the remote code conflicts - with the purchases happening while the TV is on the FiOS input and where we never explicitly turned on the AppleTV.
So, far the only solution has been to set the AppleTV to require a password on every purchase - but that's both a pain and has the potential to have us locked out if bad passwords end up being entered via random remote codes.
Are there any good solutions?
