Xcode hangs when trying to open any locked file

i am currently using Xcode 7.1.1, but this has been a problem for me going back to Xcode 6.

I am using Perforce as my SCM, so all project files are locked (read-only). Whenever I try to open any locked file, Xcode will hang (with a wait cursor) for over a minute. If I remember to check out the file before attempting to open it in Xcode, all is well.

Any one have any ideas as to what might be going on and/or how I can fix this?

Bruce

Please grab a sysdiagnose report when you have Xcode in this state, and attach it to a new bug report (see the "Report Bugs" link at the bottom of this page). I can't comment on what's going on, or suggest workarounds, before we have more information from your bug report. Thanks!

Thank you for the response.

Can you please tell me where I can get the sysdiagnose report you refered to?

SInce the program recovers after a minute or so, there is no crash report.

Thanks...

One additional piece of information: the file is made writeable in the OS almost immediately even though the program hangs.

This has been filed as bug 23804936.

This has been resolved. Turns out that I had a misbehaving script attached to the unlock behavior.
