We are very confused with a certain function we have identified in other apps. We have seen the functionality described as Geofencing, Location Monitoring, iBeacon broadcasting, or suggesting apps. These are all different names but we are looking for a solution without bluetooth.
We are looking to have our app recognize our venues/partners according to location. Whenever someone with our app walks into one of our designated venue/perimeters, we'd like our app to show up on the bottom left side of the lock screen, as it does when near retail stores via Starbucks, SmoothieKing, and American Airlines (when at the airport).
As mentioned before, this should not use NFC or Bluetooth but rather GPS.
Please advise.
