Xcode hurts my eyes

Is there any chance Xcode will ever catch up with every other decent IDE and let us change the colour scheme?

I've started doing a lot of iOS development and I just cannot stand staring at the retina-burning white background of Xcode's Interface Builder.

Most other IDEs such as AppCode or Visual Studio offer dark themes that change the appearance of the ENTIRE IDE, not just the text editor.

When will we see something like this in Xcode so that the Interface builder might actually be usable for longer periods of time?

so000 😮 much white space

i use settings and accessibility to change contrast and sometimes invert colors just for a break in the action

Yeah this works well enough actually but it just seems silly that I have to invert my OS colours just to make the IDE more usable. Surely it can't be hard to just have alternate themes like we have in IntelliJ etc.

Xcode => Preferences... => Fonts & Colors => Dusk (or some other dark scheme).

EDIT: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't get the "Interface builder" part.

While you could change it, what would be the point? IB is a canvas, the objects you place on

the canvas should look like they will on the target device. Changing the colors would not

give you a wysiwyg view.
