Where are iOS release dates announced?

I know I can look for beta versions of the latest iOS in the downloads area, but is there an official release date posted anywhere that I can referend prior to the latest iOS actually being released? In my company we have to support many users, and it would make our change management so much easier to have this information ahead of time.

Also, I'm subscribed to all communications in my developer account, yet I'm never sent anything regarding when the latest iOS is released. I usually find out by notifications on popular websites or on one of my devices itself informing me to update.

Regards,

Rob

Releases depend on internal schedules (that are subject to change), and like any modern manuf. in this space, Apple doesn't make specific dates public.

As the saying goes "Those that know, don't talk - those that talk, don't know".

As to keeping informed, there are two things I do (1) keep current in the forums and (2) use an RSS reader to sniff Apple's dev feed [ ]

h t t p : / / developer.apple.com/news/rss/news.rss

Note I'm a bit confused by your statement about 'supporting users' when betas are for testers, tho... I'd hope those are separate change processes.

Hi Rob,

No, is the short answer to your question. Apple have no history of publically announcing beta releases ahead of time whatsoever. Very few developers like to make deadlines for themselves when it comes to betas and Apple in particular are known for playing their cards close to their chest.
