Can't believe it got shutdown so quickly after Facebook bought it... I would have thought this service is going to last long since FB acquired it.

Take a look at Backendless, it is quite similar to Parse. There is a variety of SDKs, support for push notifications and server-side code. The free tier is quite generous (gives you way more than you could get with Parse). The service has been around since 2013, it is stable and quite healthy.
