Disable vsync (on tvOS)

For the purposes of benchmarking, I would like to disable vsync in order to get an accurate FPS count. Is this possible?

(I'm developing for tvOS, if that makes a difference.)

If it's not possible, is there some other way to benchmark a scene (or even just a shader)?

You can't even begin to imagine how extremely frustrating and annoying it is to ask simple questions in this forum and get no answers. None at all.

I am trying to do this as my payjob, and it's highly frustrating to not be able to get the information I need.

What good is this forum if questions are not answered? What good is it if nobody knows anything, and the people who do know do not read nor answer questions here?

Even a "it's not possible to disable vsync in SpriteKit" answer (assuming that's the correct answer) would be better than no answer at all. At least it would help me stop wild goose chases.

This is, frankly speaking, completely ridiculous. People have questions, nobody is answering. It appears that nobody at Apple is reading these posts, or bothering to give any answers.

This forum does not serve its intended purpose. You can't get help here, except perhaps for the most trivial of things (which an experienced developer would often find out by himself from the documentation or google anyway.)

And the thing is, I can't find any other forum with any more knowledgeable people either. This is frustrating.

If this is the wrong forum to ask these questions, then can you please redirect me to some other forum where people actually know these things and are willing to answer? Sheesh.

Yep. These forums should be an embarrassment to Apple. They are pretty well useless in their current state. A few subforums do get regular participation from Apple staffers (on their own time, AFAIK) and for that we are grateful. But overall they are terrible.

Sorry I don't know anything about your question. You may have to burn one of your DTS incidents.
