watches 2 downgrade

it appears to be so many bugs on watchos 2 first my contacts are gone. Now sending heartbeat is totally wrong even receiving it. It beats so fast even if your last measure is 60. Even when you receive heartbeat is viberate so fast. Any solution? I'm regretting this upgrade

It's not officially possible. From the Software Installation Guide:

http://adcdownload.apple.com/Documentation/Beta_Software_Installation_Guides/watchOS_beta_Software_Installation_Guide.pdf

NOTE: Devices updated to watchOS beta may not be restored to earlier versions of watchOS. Registered development devices will be able to upgrade to future beta releases and the final watchOS software.

When you unpair your watch it should save a back up. When i installed 2.0 i had the choice to restore from 1.01 so give that a go and see if it puts the old software on. I dont know if it will work but worth a shot. Let us know if it does work.

This, I can confirm, does not work. It still restores back to 2.0 firmware

what would happen if the beta profile is removed before restore ? Still 2.0?

Yes, still Watch Os 2.0-.- Rstored wirhout Profile and wirh Backup of version 1.01 😟

you would think that removing the profile might allow the older software to download. but im not sure how you remove the profile from the phone

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I wanted to test out iOS 9 and watchOS 2. Neither of them worked well enough for me to really develop on. I mostly did this because I wanted to test out the new custom complications feature available to developers in watchOS 2, and as far as I know, this is not possible in the watchOS simulator still.

I downgraded my iPhone 5S and iPad Air to iOS 8.3 no problem. I cannot downgrade my Apple Watch 42mm Black Sport to WatchKit 1.0.1 (I think that was the version of it, it was the first official update to the Apple Watch).

Right now, it seems that until I put iOS 9 back on my iPhone 5S, I cannot use my Apple Watch, because I cannot pair with it using iOS 8.3. I have looked everywhere and no one seems to have a solution to this.

Can I go to the Apple Store and get my Apple Watch reset with that "hidden" debug port underneath the removeable strap?

I need to get my Apple Watch functioning again ASAP.

P.S. watchOS 2 beta was especially horrible for anything network-related. Same with iOS 9. Any network connectivity was insanely bad. At one point, I was attempting to downgrade my iPhone 5S running iOS 9 to iOS 8.3, but for some reason the iPhone 5S had activated Find My iPhone. This meant I could not restore using the conventional iTunes way until I disabled Find My iPhone. The only problem? I could never get my iPhone 5S (neither on a strong WiFi or LTE connection in multiple areas) to connect to Apple's iCloud service to accept turning off Find My iPhone. So then I had to restore my iPhone using "DFU" mode. Another thing, I couldn't find a copy of iOS 8.3 that was hosted on an official Apple website. I believe on the old developer website, there was always a copy of iOS you could download that was current and active. I had to resort to going to some sketchy third party site to download iOS 8.3. I'm assuming it worked, because it validated the install with Apple (I think?), but why doesn't Apple just make this process a bit less of a headache? Hours are wasted.

Some people have said that they've been able to get a restore done at an Apple Store

There's likely to be a new set of betas aearly next week - if feasible, it might be worth waiting until then.

This is a sour subject for anyone who "Updated" to WatchOS Beta.. The only way to downgrade your Apple Watch is to send it to Apple. The best way to do is setting up Express Repair. Apple will send you a new watch face via FedEx (overnight) once you get it you must send yours back to apple. Apple will put a "hold" on your debit/credit card for the amount of the watch model you have. Until yours arrives to the Apple Deopt. Hope this was helpful, and i am deeply sorry this has happend to so many users! Best Wishes
