where is quartz composer on El Capitan? Is it part of Xcode now?

I am new to mac programming and saw an interesting example of neural network created on Quartz Composer? Looking at Google results, it seems that Quartz Composer is not being used anymore or it became part of something (perhaps Xcode?).

Could anyone give some basic pointers?

Thanks

Hi,

QC might be part of the optional Graphics Tools for Xcode apps, which can also be accessed from Open Developer Tool menu item in Xcode.

FWIW, Apple seems to have forgotten it exists. It keeps getting more and more difficult to find.

Meanwhile, Xcode continues to get more 'overhauls' by people who have clearly never used any of the competing development tools, or anything on the market for the past 20 years. Yeah that sounds harsh, but Apple developers honestly should expect more from what used to be the leading UI company on the planet.

Where is our visual, node-based dev environment? It could be here by now, if Apple had decided to make it so. Instead, we get this other stuff.

As of now, with Xcode 8.2, Quartz Composer is packaged with Additional Tools for Xcode 8.2.

Hi, I'm seeing

Xcode 9

Additional Tools for Xcode 9 - Released September 18th, 2017

still lists Quartz Composer. Phew, glad that it's still around. If it wasn't for Quartz Composer and Pure Data, I'd have had a lot more difficulty comprehending what Vizor Patches does. Still wish there was some crosstalk between these.
