Failed upgrade to watchOS2

Hi,

I've followed the installation guide but the installation has 'stalled'..

The watch has performed a reboot.. shows a new Apple logo.. the dots have reached around the 10 o'clock position and has remained there for over 30 minutes.

What are my options?

Thanks in advance.

I did a hard reset in the end, only after waiting at the 10 o'clock stage for nearly an hour.

Crown and contacts button pressed together.

The watch then rebooted a couple of times and eventually sorted itself out.

Got a bit twitchy for a while but glad it got through.

Hope this helps someone.

I am having the same problem.. Went to post to this forum when I saw your response.. Trying it now.. Wish me luck.

i have the same problem, a hard reset wont help

I am also having the same problem. How did it go with your hard rest ?

I am getting the same thing durring the upgrade it got stuck at about the 10 o'clock position then stoped there for 1 hour so I did a hard reset. Now all I get is a Apple logo for 5 minutes then it makes a chime for the charger. after that the screen just goes black and I get nothing untill I do a hard reset which brings me back to the apple logo. I know the software is installed cause when I did the first hard reset it alowed me to use the clock face and nightstand mode for a mintue before shuting off and now doing this. occasonaly after doing a hard reset I see the loading bar again as if it is doing another update but it never moves from the first hash. Let me know if anyone finds a solution.

Did a hard reset (after waiting 3 hours), rebooted and finished install. Looks like watchos2 beta in installed and running fine now.

Yup same here. Totally dead. Does nothing at Apple logo. Come on Apple folks get somebody in this forum

Yep followed the hard reset procedure after waiting at least 45 minutes and after Apple Support couldn't assist because of it being a beta.

Two reboots later and watchOS 2.0 is working.

Very nerve wracking...

Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but it worked for me...

Issue: Rebooting Apple Watch would bring up watchOS 2 beta (I could see TimeTravel mode and Nightstand mode) for less than a minute before the watch went back to showing the upgrade ring, which would stop at the 2nd or 3rd second.

Solution: After trying multiple reboots (and leaving it going over night) with no success, I finally turned off all 3rd party apps in the iPhone Watch app and then Unpaired the watch (again from the iPhone app). Another reboot of the watch (holding both watch buttons down) and it finally got past the 2nd or 3rd second and fnished upgrading as a new watch. I then had to re-pair the iPhone and Watch again once the upgrade was complete.

I got the same issue and what I did is just that have reseted (Crown and contacts button pressed together) several times until it shows language list screen.

It was 4~5 times.

Finally, it worked and paired.
