I am beginning with IOS developmet as test. Is not related with my Job.
I have an iPad1 with IOS 5.1.1 but i am not able to developt using xcode 7. I know i could use older version but I want to test the application in my iPad with a free membership (my understanding is with older xcode versions is not possible).

Unfortunately, the special behavior that makes free development possible wasn't added until… I think it was iOS 9. The Apple ID-based provisioning requires special capability on both iOS and Xcode.
I would use the current Xcode to generate a free signing profile, and then see if that persists in your keychain and shows in the older version Xcode you need in order to build to your iPad 1.
