I have been a software developer for a long time. in 2012 there was an accident which after a broken back broken neck crushed foot and brain surgery and 4 months in a coma later i am now getting back into my software developer mode.

here is my qustion. how do i get reestablished in IOS development?

i have an apple watch

i have an ipad (i think 2nd gen)

what iphone should i look for? doesnt have to be new just have to be good and able to be kept up todate. i dont think the 3gs i have will work lol.

what mac book should i get? doesnt have to be new just have to be good and able to be up todate

now the other very important thing is what type of SDK and any other links and suggestions would be awesome.

i do live near a barns and noble so any suggestions on a book would be helpful.

You will need an iPhone 5 or later to work with the Apple Watch. Preferably the 5s or later

since the 5 does not have NFC nor touch ID. As for the Macbook, you will need plenty of

storage, 128 gigs in many of the low end models just isn't enough so you'll need an external

drive of much higher capacity if you buy a Macbook with a small SSD. RAM should be 8 gigs

MINIMUM. Anything less will simply drag with current OSX versions and you have to have

Yosemite at minimum to work with the Watch. The SDK well, xCode 6 is the lowest version

that supports the Apple Watch so, again, you'll need beefy hardware to use it.

As for books, forget em. They are out of date 2 months before they are printed. Apple provides

a lot of documentation, both for Swift and Objective-C and even has the full Swift programming

manual as a free download in iTunes/iBooks. Google is also a good resource for finding tutorials

and various guides just keep in mind, a lot of stuff on the internet is also out of date very quickly.

Hmmm...you asked the same questions four months ago.
