Which is the best place to learn iOS development perfectly?

I am sorry, I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question.

I know basics of iOS development(Swift). There are many experts in the community. I want to be an expert. I want to create, develop anything I want. Where can I learn? Please give me the resources or courses whatever helped you to be in this stage. Thanks a lot in advance.

Do you have a paid developer account?

There are also some useful resources on iTunes U (ok, I'm not without bias when I say this).

The most famous one is probably the course from Stanford https://itunes.apple.com/gb/course/developing-ios-9-apps-swift/id1104579961

There is my course, but it's more aimed at those new to iOS and Swift: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/course/ios-development-in-swift/id950659946

I hope this helps

Nick

Having just completed Nick's course on iTunes U I can absolutely recommend it, it's well worth a look. I have worked through some books and online courses previously however I've struggled with some coding concepts - this course has improved my understanding and coding.

1. Apple documentation — Swift Overview

Official Apple documentation has always outstanding quality — no difference here. If you are newbie who wants to become an iOS developer, here you will find a great introduction to the programming language used in iOS programming — Swift. Also you will get familiar with accompanied tools — Xcode, Playgrounds and REPL.

2. Ry’s Objective-C Tutorial

If you want to learn Objective-C (and as an iOS developer you should know at least basics), this is the best place to do it.

3. Stanford iTunes video course

Prefer video content over text? Check Developing iOS 8 Apps with Swift by Stanford University — it totally rocks!

I hope this list will be useful for you.

FYI - I've just this past week added a book for section 4 with a lot of supplimentary information. It's only in draft, but do take a look.

More to come (it's a never ending challenge!)

Nick

Well, I've seen/tried quite a bit of books and/or web resources and must say many of them are overwhelming. You start with one and after the basics have been discussed, things starts to get ugly most of the time. Imho there are many capable programmers, but not many of them have talent to write a book.

Just by accident I stumbled upon AppSmith Books (http://www.appsmith.dk), an Indie publisher. He's great. His books are clearly written and no-nonsense. He doesn't go in all details, but for me that isn't necessary. It has gotten me started by teaching me the minimal basics that will allow me to explore on my own from that point on.

Highly recommended!
