Problems installing Xcode 7.3

Hello. I have xcode 7.2.1 installed and I can't install version 7.3. When I go to the app store it thinks I already have the latest version (7.3) and gives me no option to update. I then uninstalled xcode 7.2.1 by dragging the icon to the trash. After that I had the option to "update" xcode in the app store. I hit update and xcode was re-installed. When I looked at the version it still says 7.2.1! Any ideas how to fix this? I need xcode 7.3 to target iOS 9.3 on my phone.

Thanks,

-Steve

+1 Apple.

Hi,

I am having same problem. I updated from 7.2.1 to 7.3. Since on my iPhone IOS 9.3 .1 was updated. And was not able to launch app on IPhone. "could not find developer disk image xcode".

After update when I check xcode version is still showing 7.2.1... why??

Thanks,

CP

Download 7.3 from the link I just posted and install again. Don't rename or relocate Xcode when installing.

Same here.

XCode does not appear at the App Store Updates screen.

If I go to XCode App Store page, there's an Update button. I click, it thinks for a wahile then nothing.

Stop wasting time w/the MAS

Alternate route: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/

The problem is that XCode 7.3 seems to need OS X 10.11 El Capitan, and I had OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

So downloading the dmg did not work either, XCode will not open.

Upgraded to El Capitan, now App Store is updating it as expected.

Same problem here, thank you for asking it and thanks rsodre for saying that the problem is Yosemite, you saved me and others from a 5.2GB useful download.

I even know people who says that Apple does things well, amazing.
