iOS 9.3 space bar advances page in iBooks

Since the update to iOS 9.3 tapping the space bar on a wireless keyboard when viewing a book in iBooks moves the book forward one page.

Wonderful...

...but not if there's a text field on the page such as a form! Now you tap into an iBooks text field and hit the space bar but, nstead of entering a space, the software advances to the next page of the book. This means you cannot fill in any multi-word text fields.

A workaround is to use Notes and then copy and paste this into text fields. Very cumbersome.

Try it and see.

Been on the phone for literally hours to Apple Support and they cannot find a solution.

Case number 1077456258 for any Apple bod who's watching.

here's a workaround: ALT+SPACE enters a space instead of advancing the page.

Seems like Apple engineers need to assign ALT+SPACE to advancing the page, not entering a space which the space bar was designed for 😠

This is a user-centric issue. Not something that discussing w/devs here will help with. Best to move to Apple's public support forums, thanks.

I’m having that same problem now with my iPad… When I first got my wireless keyboard everything was fine I had an update from Apple and now if I hit the in advance is only in iBooks…

So I just decided to switch to Adobe PDF… Seriously getting more and more disappointed with everything Apple related.
