Has anyone had any luck converting existing watch apps to the new watchOS 2?
Currently even the simplest apps with 2 or 3 images seem to be overwhelmed and just never loads on the watch.
Thus far I only have been able to get very minor functionality going.
Any feedback would be greatly appriciated.
I have the same issue with the watch. Filed a bug report about it.
In the meantime, use the simulator until Apple fixes the problem.
Yeah, the watchos2 beta is extremely broken. Should not have been released, it's like they decided to completely skip QA before they announced it's availability. Best bet is as Giegler said, use the simulator for now. Hopefully in the next few weeks they will fix this mess.
I've filed about a dozen bug reports on it already. It's very unfortunate that Apple realesed what is really an in-house alpha to the developer community--especially as most of us (I assume) only have "our" watches right now, due to cost and limited availability. It's not a good situation when your regular watch behaves so unpredictably!
