I'm trying to post a message that is pure text with no error codes, but i'm unable to post because of the "The message contains invalid characters" error.
Does anyone have a better idea on what kind of string patterns I need to avoid to prevent this error?

I am getting this error and I assume it is due to the code or xcode error text I am pasting, but no explanation!
If you mean here in the forums, it might have something to do with the spam filters that were put in place after many months of unwanted chatter here. Our lives are made more difficult here due to dozens of spam posts twice a day for nearly a year, so except for taking so long to squelch the noise, this one isn't Apple's fault...so much.
Best to avoid excess white space and seemingly random lengthy strings.
I think I know how to thwart the new filters, but if that was public here, the spammers would be free to run amok once again, so...give it a bit of trial/error - see if code snippets aren't subject to the same restrictions as simple text, perhaps.

I've gotten this error just trying to post the word "s-u-c-c-e-s-s" (without the dashes). Either by itself or in a sentence.
Nearly everything I try to post gives me this error, and there's no way I can go through every word to figure out what the problem is each time.
I can't believe this has been going on since May. I filed rdar://27935699 about my problem posting that word, but I can't say I have much hope for a quick resolution.
I'm still getting this error today.
Is this problem being investigated ?
Can we see the list of forbidden characters or words ?
