What does "source switch" mean in iAP2 protocol?

Hi All,

I am using iAP2 protocol to communicate between Accessory and IPhone.

In "Accessory Interface Specificaiton" they have mentioned about "source switching" from apple device to other devices. It mandates that in some situations like source switching, some commands shouldn't be used. But I'm not able to figure out the exact definition of "Source Switch".

My Question is:

1. If I'm using Apple device over USB and the same over BT also (Only A2DP/AVRCP not iAP2 over BT), would it be considered as a source switch when we switch from (iAP2 over USB) to (BT over A2DP/AVRCP) to get audio from BT?

2. If we are switching from (iAP2 over USB)->(BT over A2DP/AVRCP)->(Pendrive). At what stage we can consider source switch has happened?

Thanks in advance.
