Use 3G for VPN and use WIFI to get data from a wifi device

I'm building an iPad app for our internal app store. I want my iPad connected over 3G to keep my VPN back to our personal network, while also having a wifi connection open to another device in close proximity. This remote device acts like a wifi AP but does not have access to the internet. Is there any configuration I can setup via the ipad wifi settings or code I can write that would send all http requests to 192.168.0.1 to the wifi device and other traffic for example mycompany.com to use 3G with my VPN.

I mentioned internal app store in hopes I have more options open to use.

thanks in advance

It is possible to use WWAN and Wi-Fi simultaneously but there are significant gotchas. I’ve discussed this many times here on DevForums but, searching my records, I think the most relevant reference is this thread.

Going into the Wi-Fi setting and setting a static ip address to 192.168.0.10 and a Subnet Mask to 255.255.0.0 allowed me to stay connected to our vpn via the 3G network and still let me get to the 192.168.0.1 network space via WiFi.
