Would Apple allow ads in an iMessage app? I would like to monetize my app without making it a paid app. I haven't found anything in the documentation about ads.

They haven't put restrictions on it yet, but the space we have can be build like any viewcontroller so I'm assuming it can be done, but again, but the big question is if Apple allows it.
Where did you find documentations on it being paid?

I know I could do it I was just thinking Apple might be avert to ads in its own iMessage. Is there a way to contact them regarding this?
The last thing I would do as a developer is put Ads in the most personal space on someone's iPhone. Talk about annoying your customers. But who knows they may allow it. If I was Apple, I surely wouldn't
Yeah I'm not planning on doing it. It's a sticker app and I think a better way to make money would be to limit the amount of free stickers allowed monthly, pay to get more. Thanks for your input

Not necessary on the Ads - you can display it in the expanded mode - just don't display it in the compact mode.
Ads itself is obtrusive but if presented correctly, then its okay. Again, you might be right about apple not allowing ads - but i wish they would give us the HIG so we can make our decisions during the design.
