unusual amount of unique taps on iAd banners on your app

Just received a notice today from iAd network support saying that my app has an unusual amount of unique taps on iAd banners on your app. Thus they have suspended the app receiving any ads from iAd network!

This app has been thers for around three years!!!

Nothing has changed for a long time, no update nothing for more than a year.

Also, nothing is unique about it, it's just like my other 30 apps!!!

Show add or hide add according to ad availability. I just use prime31 plugin too, so really i didn't code anything different from tens of thousangs of other apps on the app store that uses prime31 plugins!

This is the message i received toay.

=================================

Hello Sam,

We noticed an unusual amount of unique taps on iAd banners in your (Name of my app) app. As a result, we have disabled ad serving for this app.

As stated in the iAd App Network Contract, developers are not allowed to use any means to artificially increase the number of impressions or tap throughs available or encourage user click throughs on banners. In order to protect our advertisers and maintain the integrity of the iAd App Network, we take any odd or suspicious behavior from apps seriously.

Please ensure you have the proper code implementation in place as found in the useful resources below.

- iAd Programming Guide, found in the iOS Dev Center > iOS Developer Library > iAd.

- iAdSuite sample code, also found in the iOS Dev Center > iOS Developer Library > iAd.

- iAd Implementation Best Practices Technical Note: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#technotes/tn2264/_index.html.

Let us know once you've submitted an update for your app. We will then re-review your app for ad serving.

Best Regards,

  • The app Tap Throughs are setting at 2% or less.
  • The app Impressions are between 10k to 18k.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with Apple emplyees brain!

I've just received this too, also on an app that hasn't been updated or tampered with.

It seems like our app got more popular, so more users used it and tapped ads, and somehow that's suspicious?!

Did you find a solution?

Same here.

I got that email just today. The app got ad suspended is the most popular app of mine that released 2 years ago. Not sure what to do with this... But if this is admob, we may get account suspended also 😢

Same today also... three years ago app ..also!!!

Any update???

Same here,

I also received another email that said "your app(s) have been permanently disabled from ad serving and Apple will not issue payment for July 2015 iAd revenue."

I do not use any trick to increate iAd banner taps. I don't know why?

Hello Sam.

After receving this email, did you receive June financial report yet?

Thanks.

Mike.

Hi samshosho

Do you resolve this problem and Apple reply for you.

And do they say why they do it ?

Hi All

I eanred about 9k, but apple said they will not release payment for this. OMG, i'm going to kill my self.

TKS.

I don't know why.

I have received today exactly the same email after iAds being disabled for the last two days. There is absolutely nothing that I do to encourage users to tap on iAds. The tap thru rate is less than 1%. App has been out for the last 2 years. Never a problem before. I don't know what to do now. Can we complain to someone?

Guys, I sent 2 emails to iAd support 7 days ago, and not getting any reply. I worry if my iAd account has been banned because of these "unusual amount of unique taps", and they don't care about my explanation... Now requests dropped to zero, revenue dropped to zero, from hero to zero... They used to support very fast.

Very, very frustrating.

Not only to be accused of unethical behavior, but Apple is very unresponsive (incompetent) in getting the issue resolved.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to proceed, please let us know. Contacting iAd support so far has only resulted in "thank you for contacting . . .".

It has been almost a month in my case.

Received this message today also from apple. Its my first app and I can guarantee that I havent implemented any "ad-click" routine or whatever. Also Im 100% sure, that I have implemented iAd right according they directives. Its making me sad dealing with a company like so...

I just wrote to them. We will see how long they will wait for a reply, if any.

What we need to do? I cant say anything, wait and hope for a better future...

Something fishy is going on with iAds. They are not paying a lot of people and using that reason..All apps that havent been touched in years...
