How can I do some simple graphics programming on an iPad?

I want to draw mathematical pictures by writing code. I've been doing this on my Mac by writing Postscript code, but I am not particular about the language, and I would be willing to learn a new one. The thing is, I want to be able to do the whole thing on my iPad. I don't want to use Xcode on my mac to write an app for my iPad. I want to write the code on my iPad, and immediately see the results. I can't figure out how to do the Postscript thing on my iPad. Any suggestions?

You're out of luck then. There is no way to write code that you can execute on an iPad using an

iPad to create it and compile it.

The MellowRoom app allows you to create shaders on the iPhone and see them instantly.
