Linux SQUID as Apple Caching Server

Hello,

We are trying to set up SQUID as Apple caching server on a Linux server. What we want to accomplish is to cache IOS Applications from the iTunes, AppStore and serve them locally. Our question is: did anyone try this before and what would be some guidlines for this case? The reason why we are trying to do this is small internet bandwidth and there is no way for us to relay on iTunes, AppStore downloads. We allready configure Apple Cache Server on MacMini but it did not cache anything from AppStore or iTunes, just some updates from local server.

Thanks,

You’d probably have more luck asking this question over in the Apple Support Communities, run by AppleCare, specifically in one of the in Business and Education areas.
