Your Password Has Expired?!

Why is the new Apple Developer Forums saying my Apple ID's password has expired?

Apple really has no business controlling my password—they aren't a bank after all and my password is my own Personal Information. I use a special system for passwords, and this Apple ID happens to be used for other purposes. Forcing me to change my password off-schedule screws up my system.

I can go to another (older) area of the Apple Developer Program site and sign in with my current password just fine, and then come back here and post. But that's a major inconvenience. This whole site has become very difficult to navigate because it keeps sending you around in circles. That also suggests this may just be a policy or technical glitch on Apple's end.

Anyone else getting hit with this annoyance?

I did.

With the old forums gone/archived and new forum software in place, everyone has the same burden as you, I believe.

Yep. I just made a slight ammendment. Let's push forward.

It seems like a technical glitch to me, given the workaround of logging in somewhere else.

I literally just filed a radar about this. It's very annoying. I usually go to developer.apple.com/membercenter/ and log in there, then come back to the forums.

Everyone seems to be having this issue, and the workaround is to sign in at the "Member Center". Apple put the new forums and website in place just prior to WWDC and since all the engineers are involved with it, there's no one to fix new issues, it seems.

i wish I'd seen thar work around before I changed my password this morning and had to tell all my devices the new password.
