Not launching

Hello,

I have installed watchOS 2.0.

I created a very basic one screen with a label watch app. I can install it on the watch, but when I attempt to launch the app it just does it's circle loading animation and never progresses from there.

Is anyone else experiencing this? What have you done to remedy this?

Also, every rebuild I do, it takes about 5 minutes for the application to reload on the watch, is this normal?

Seems to happen pretty often to me. Just happened now, I cleaned, rebuilt, uninstalled on watch and phone, reinstalled, rebooted the device, and finally, I managed to get it running by opening the Apple Watch app on my phone, going to the my app listed there and toggling "Show app on apple watch" off until it war removed. Then I toggled it back on, and after it reinstalled, it worked.

I have yet to find a definitive way to get it working again when this happens to me, but I will let you know if I do. Just keep keep tinkering with it like I did above and you should be able to get it working (assuming it works in the simulator).

EDIT: Just happened again to me. Toggling that option in the Apple Watch app didn't work this time. So I toggled it off, rebooted watch, toggled it back on and it worked.

This is a pain, but I have to do the following once the app stops loading:

1. Exit Xcode.

2. Remove the app from the iPhone.

3. Turn off the watch and iPhone.

4. Turn them back on.

5. Run Xcode and wait for the watch and iPhone to appear paired.

6. Run the app.

Once it's working, I can usually use it for an hour or two if I keep the app running while editing code, stop the app, and after it says finished, I run the new version without any delay. I also have the passcode disabled on the watch and keep it on the charger when powered.

It's a painfully slow process, but once it stops running properly, it only loads 5% of the time until I repeat this process.

Sometimes I have to reboot the Mac too.
