custom tab bar icons

Hi.


I am new to Swift and I am trying to create custom tab bar icons. I created an icon that works when it is unselected but then disappears when selected. I want to create a selected version that has a blue outline and an unselected version that is filled-in. I created an outlined version in Illustrator but It doesn't seem to work.
